Welcome to our home, shelter and work space

Cultural respect & symbiotic relationships between people, nature, and heritage.

About us

Pumamaki was born with the purpose of reclaiming a more environmentally respectful footprint, caring for our human relationships and environment and walking wisely just like the puma, which is gravely threatened by the lack of awareness. With this intention, we have started creating various projects in art, culture, and health. Forging alliances to nurture and strengthen culture, reforestation, and conservation of endangered territories, living memory, ancestral practices and the knowledge and use of healing plants.

We are located, on the Ilaló volcano, twenty minutes from Quito´s Airport. It is a small shelter of peace and biodiversity, the gateway to a magical territory, where we create a space to share and unify the connections that sustain biodiversity, culture, and living territories.

Our Mission

From the headwaters in the Andes all the way to the Amazon jungle, our efforts aim to strengthen the connections that help maintain the primary forests alive for the future generations.

We support various projects in collaboration with the Amazon Sieko'pai community, as well as with Andean communities so we can create awareness and foster healthy connections with nature, the environment, and the human communities that resist the devastation of the ancestral territories.

Our Vision

Our vision is to foster the conservation of territories and cultures by weaving connections among diverse human groups. We believe in sharing consciousness through art, educational initiatives, and permacultural projects that inspire collaboration and understanding.

By creating awareness and promoting consciousness, we aim to celebrate the rich tapestry of human experience and nurture a sustainable future for all. Together, we can cultivate a world where creativity and culture thrive in harmony.
